Game design and development

At 150 Por Ciento we make complete games: design, art, code and release. From original mobile and PC titles to gamified brand and training experiences people play because they want to, not because they’re told to.

One team for concept, art and engine. No juggling three vendors.

In short

Design and development of games for mobile, PC and web, plus gamified experiences for brand and training: game design, concept art, production in Unity or Unreal, and store release.

What we solve with games and gamification

The briefs that reach us are usually these:

  • Studios with the concept and the art but no technical team to produce it
  • Brands that want a playable experience and end up with an interactive banner
  • Mandatory training nobody finishes because it’s boring
  • Unity projects that started well and became impossible to maintain
  • Games that run on the developer’s machine and nowhere else
  • Game ideas that need validating before committing to full production

Gamifying isn’t adding points and badges: it’s designing something someone would choose to play.

Unity or Unreal? And when neither

The engine choice shapes the whole project. Our rule:

  • Unity: for mobile, 2D, AR/VR and cross-platform projects. The default for most commercial briefs
  • Unreal: when high-fidelity 3D is the product and there’s an art budget to sustain it
  • Web (WebGL, Three.js): when the experience must open from a link with nothing to install — typical for brand gamification

For a three-week campaign, a web game weighs less, costs less and reaches more people than a store title.

What kind of solutions we deliver

  • Game development for mobile, PC and web
  • Graphic and concept design: art, characters, environments
  • Game design and mechanics balancing
  • Brand gamification and advergaming
  • Serious games for training and assessment
  • Playable prototypes to validate an idea before producing it
  • Release on Steam, App Store, Google Play and web

If the experience is immersive with a headset or camera, see AR/VR; if it’s structured training with a certificate, see e-learning.

How we do it

1. Concept and game design
  • We define the core loop: what makes the repeated action fun
  • Design document with mechanics, progression and economy
  • Engine and platform chosen by audience and budget
2. Playable prototype
  • An ugly but playable prototype within weeks
  • Testing with real players before investing in art
  • Mechanics tuned or dropped based on data, not opinions
3. Production
  • Concept art, assets and animation
  • Milestone-based development with playable builds every delivery
  • Performance optimization on the target devices
4. Release and support
  • Store management, listings and reviews
  • Session, retention and funnel analytics
  • Updates and balancing driven by real play data

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to develop a game?

Un juego web de marca o un prototipo jugable parte desde los 8.000 USD. Un título completo para móvil con arte propio suele estar entre 40.000 y 200.000 USD según el alcance. La mayor parte del presupuesto se va en arte y contenido, no en programación.

Unity or Unreal for my game?

Unity for mobile, 2D and cross-platform: broader ecosystem and more people who know it. Unreal when high-fidelity 3D is the product and you have the art budget to sustain it. For most commercial projects, Unity.

Do you do the art too, or only programming?

Both. Game design, concept art, assets, animation and code come from the same team — which is exactly where the loss between an art studio and a dev studio gets avoided.

Does gamification actually work for training my team?

Yes, when it’s designed as a game rather than a course with points bolted on. It works especially well for repetitive training, procedures and assessment, where repeated practice is precisely what’s needed.

How long does game development take?

A branded web game takes 12 to 20 weeks. A full store title rarely comes in under 8 to 18 months. We always start with a playable prototype to validate before committing to production.
