Custom e-commerce development

At 150 Por Ciento we build e-commerce that sells, not pretty catalogs. Fast stores, with the payment methods your market actually uses, connected to your inventory and invoicing, and measured from day one by the only metric that counts: conversion.

We work with retail, fashion, food and B2B brands in Colombia, Peru, Mexico and across Latin America.

What we solve with e-commerce

Almost nobody needs “an online store”. What they need to solve is this:

  • Slow stores that lose the sale before the product page even loads
  • Inventory drifting out of sync because the store and the ERP don’t talk
  • Abandoned carts with no automated recovery behind them
  • Payment gateways that don’t accept what your customer actually uses
  • Rigid templates that can’t handle your catalog, your promotions or your operation
  • Brands selling over WhatsApp that can’t make the jump to a channel of their own

A store that doesn’t sell isn’t a design problem: it’s a friction problem.

Shopify, WooCommerce or custom development?

It depends on the catalog and the operation, not the trend. Our rule:

  • Shopify: when you want to sell now, with a standard operation and no in-house tech team. Lower startup cost, less control over the details.
  • WooCommerce: when you already live in WordPress, the catalog is manageable, and you need control without paying a per-transaction fee.
  • Custom headless (Next.js + commerce API): when the catalog is large, the pricing logic is your own, or performance is a competitive advantage.

We don’t resell licenses or take a cut of your sales: we recommend the platform that suits you and back it with your own numbers.

What kind of solutions we deliver

  • Shopify and Shopify Plus stores with custom themes
  • WooCommerce e-commerce with your own catalog and business rules

How we do it

1. Commercial discovery
  • We understand your margin, your catalog and how fulfilment really works
  • We review the payment methods your customer uses in each country
  • We pick the platform on total cost of ownership, not license price
2. Architecture and design
  • Catalog structure and taxonomy built for SEO from the start
  • Purchase flow designed with the checkout as the priority
  • Integration map: payments, inventory, invoicing, logistics
3. Development and integrations
  • Biweekly deliveries on a staging environment with real data
  • End-to-end purchase testing, including refunds and edge cases
  • Performance and Core Web Vitals measured on every delivery
4. Launch and optimization
  • Migration with 301 redirects so you keep the traffic you earned
  • E-commerce analytics and conversion funnel configured
  • CRO cycles driven by usage data, not opinions

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to build an online store in Latin America?

A professional store on Shopify or WooCommerce starts at 4,000 USD. A custom e-commerce with ERP integrations, your own pricing rules and headless architecture usually runs between 15,000 and 50,000 USD depending on the catalog. We quote with a closed scope after a free initial discovery.

Shopify or WooCommerce — which one is right for me?

Shopify if you want to launch fast, with no tech team and a standard operation; you accept a per-transaction fee. WooCommerce if you already use WordPress, want full control and want to avoid that fee, in exchange for owning hosting and maintenance. Given your volume and margin, we’ll tell you which is cheaper over three years.

Do you integrate the payment gateways used in my country?

Yes. We work with Mercado Pago, PayU, Wompi, ePayco and Stripe, plus cash on delivery and bank transfer. We also integrate e-invoicing according to each country’s regulations.

Can you migrate my current store without losing rankings?

Yes, and it’s part of the scope. We map every current URL, set up the 301 redirects and preserve the category structure that already ranks. We measure organic traffic before and after to verify there was no drop.

How long does e-commerce development take?

A store on an existing platform takes 6 to 10 weeks from kickoff. A custom e-commerce with complex inventory and logistics integrations can take 3 to 5 months.
